Radiance Wellness Institute

Alzheimer’s Disease. A global epidemic of Alzheimer’s disease looms on the horizon. Alzheimer’s disease is becoming more prevalent in aging populations worldwide because people are living longer. The Alzheimer’s Association estimates that, based on the current trajectory, the number of Americans 65 and older living with Alzheimer’s disease will increase from 5.1 million in 2015 to 13.5 million in 2050. They believe that by 2050, without effective intervention, millions of Americans may spend their retirement living with Alzheimer’s disease or caring for someone who has it. Alzheimer’s drugs are often of little or no benefit at all, which underscores the importance of prevention through alternative approaches such as diet and lifestyle choices. Alzheimer’s is largely preventable and virtually no one talks about that. There is no meaningful treatment; it is a disease predicated primarily on lifestyle choices.

Radiance Wellness Institute. Radiance Wellness Institute is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to enhance awareness for preventing lifestyle disease through education and coaching individuals toward a lifestyle promoting wellness. Radiance Wellness Institute’s programs, designed with the main focus on wellness lifestyle education, empower individuals to take charge of their own wellness. We believe wellness extends beyond the absence of disease. Our program for this study is called Radiant Wellness. Radiant Wellness is a comprehensive, wellness lifestyle program comprising four components of SELF-Care: Serenity, Exercise, Love and Food. Most research funding for Alzheimer’s disease goes toward pharmacological intervention. Instead, at Radiance Wellness Institute, we focus on prevention of Alzheimer’s disease through the natural approach of wellness lifestyle education.

Study and Funding. We are seeking donations to help us carry out a study on the effectiveness of our program. We recruit 15-20 individuals age 65 and older. We will collect biomarker data along with performances on cognitive tasks. In addition, we will ask participants about their experiences of wellness. We will collect this data before and after they participate in our three-month program. We use this data to determine the significance and thereby the effectiveness of our program. We aim to publish the results of our research. Donors will be among the first to know about the outcome of this study and can follow its interim progress on our website. We estimate the cost of our research at close to $40,000 – $45,000.

Please help us by making a generous tax-deductible donation to fund our research. Making a donation satisfies the human qualities to solve problems and work together. Together we can turn the tide of this devastating disease. If we can delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease by even a modest amount, we will reap large economic and social benefits.

We appreciate your generosity.
